The Senegalese Children's Aid Group (SCAG) is proud to announce the renewal and expansion of its international partnership with the University of Colorado Anschutz Center for Global Health. Following the successful completion of a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the collaboration has been renewed for an additional five years and significantly expanded to include four leading hospitals and three medical universities in Senegal. This renewed commitment reflects the partners' shared vision of advancing healthcare, medical education, clinical training, research, and global health initiatives, while strengthening sustainable collaboration between the United States and Senegal for years to come.

The Challenges in Senegal Healthcare
-
The Albert Royer National Children’s Hospital is the largest children’s hospital in Senegal which currently has 120 inpatients beds
-
Most families do not have the ability to pay, and most care goes unreimbursed.
-
With an average of 5,200 – 5,300 inpatients per year, and an average of 200 emergency visits and consultations per day, Albert Royer is a busy hospital in much need of expansion, provider training, funding, new equipment and supplies.
